Oxjam Chiswick is part of Oxfam's national music festival. We are one of 60 Volunteer teams taking part this year across GB, from the Shetland Isles to Southampton, Cardiff to Cambridge and an estimated 300,000 people will come to an Oxjam gig in 2013, making it the UK's largest music festival and you'll be a part of that.
We have raised over £20,000 for Oxfam GB since we started in 2011 and this year is going to be even better with one of the biggest Oxjam festivals ever held.
From Midday to 2am, an epic 14 hours of music, spanning Disco, Indie, Rock 'n' Roll, Nu Folk, Irish, Acoustic, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Roots, Reggae and Rock and some of these artists are stars in the making! We've even got Rock Choirs, Gospel Choirs, School Choirs, Steel Drum bands, Ukele Orchestras and some Opera!
Entrance is by Wristband – once bought you get access to all of the venues and can come and go and wander from venue to venue soaking up all the good vibes and different music and with 10 venues to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice. It's Chiswick's answer to Camden Crawl!
Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice... Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings... Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.
